MEDWAY PRIDE DAY
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED.
Volunteers
are needed now to help plan and run
this year's Medway Pride Day. This community event is scheduled
for Saturday, May 19th from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Medway Middle
School's Charland Field on Holliston Street. As it has for the
past two decades, Medway Pride Day will feature many exciting games
and carnival activities for the kids and dozens of booths showcasing
local businesses and organizations. Crafters and collectable vendors
will display unique items for sale.
Volunteers to organize games, stage and field
entertainment, raffle buttons and t-shirt sales are needed. Anyone
interested in stepping up to chair the Pride Day Committee is
welcome. In the past, Medway residents and Medway Business Council
members have donated their time to make Pride Day a success. Some of
the volunteers who have been on the committee for more than a decade
will not be returning this year. This is a great opportunity for new
volunteers to share their creative ideas that will appeal to families
and businesses in the area and keep Medway Pride Day going strong for
years to come. If you are interested in helping with this community
event, we need your input today.
Businesses
that participate in Pride Day appreciate the opportunity to showcase
products and generate sales, while they show their pride in the local
community. Everyone who volunteers will take pleasure in seeing
smiles on the children's faces as they enjoy the musical
entertainment, face painting, hair braiding and the infamous obstacle
course! Please help Medway Pride Day Committee to keep this
wonderful tradition going. Volunteer Today!
If you are involved with a local youth group and looking for creative ways to
raise money, volunteer your members to staff the children's
carnival games and activities at Medway Pride Day. Funds raised at
Medway Pride Day Committee are donated to non-profit groups, such as
the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and other youth groups who volunteer to
help out on the day of the event. It's a great way to raise extra
money and have a great time.
Be sure to attend the Medway Pride Day planning meeting scheduled for
Monday, February 6th at 7:00 PM at Mickee Cassidy's
Irish Restaurant and Public House, 116 Main Street/Route 109 in
Medway. Please join us and bring a friend or neighbor! If you or someone you
know would like to be part of the Pride Day committee, but cannot
